Why We Cynthicize

Cynthicize exists to spread joy, create connection, and turn having fun into doing good.

At its heart, Cynthicize is about bringing people together through laughter, movement, music, and a shared experience that doesn’t take itself too seriously. That energy becomes even more meaningful when it can make a difference beyond the dance floor.

Through Cynthicize, we channel the fun into philanthropy, raising money and awareness for Centre Volunteers in Medicine (CVIM) and the Youth Service Bureau (YSB) and the important work they do in our community.

Centre Volunteers in Medicine (CVIM) is Centre County’s only free clinic, providing compassionate, high-quality healthcare to uninsured individuals who live or work in our community. Since 2003, CVIM has helped ensure that cost or lack of insurance doesn’t stand between our neighbors and the care they need.

Powered by more than 325 dedicated volunteers, CVIM provides medical and dental care, behavioral health services, case management, medication assistance, and other essential services—all free of charge and delivered with dignity.

Centre County Youth Service Bureau (YSB) has been helping local children, youth, and families build stronger, healthier futures for more than 50 years. Through prevention programs, family services, residential care, mentoring, and community-based support, YSB meets young people where they are and helps give them the tools, stability, and opportunities they need to thrive.

At the heart of YSB’s work is a simple belief: every young person deserves to feel safe, supported, valued, and connected to their community. Their dedicated staff and volunteers work every day to strengthen families, create positive opportunities for youth, and step in when kids need someone in their corner.
